Interview with Henry B. Stowers, a journalist and a Marine Corps veteran, concerning his experiences as a prisoner-of-war of the Japanese during World War II. Stowers discusses his pre-war legation duty in North China, his surrender and imprisonment at Wusong (Woosung) Prison Camp, Shanghai (1941-1942), Kiangwang (Kiangwan) Prison Camp (1942-1945), Pusan, Korea (1945), coal mining at Hakodate, Hokkaido (1945), and his liberation.
